Dan Kraus has been a stalwart resident of St. Louis for most of his life, with a nine-year stint in Springfield, Missouri, where he attended college and later ventured into the hospitality industry as a bar owner. After returning to St. Louis, Dan transitioned into a career as a mortgage loan officer, a role he balances with his diverse personal interests.

Outside the office, Dan is an avid traveler and enjoys spending quality time with his two grown sons. His engagement with the community is evident in his work as the social director of a local pool club and his organization of trivia nights that raise funds for various charities.

The inspiration to write ‘Everything About You’ emerged from a particularly difficult period in Dan’s life. This book, his first published work, was primarily a therapeutic endeavor to navigate the complexities of personal loss and emotional recovery. Writing has been a lifelong passion for Dan, a private meditation that served him well during turbulent times.

The poems in ‘Everything About You’ offer a window into Dan’s soul, charting the course of his emotional landscape through loss, introspection, and hopeful recovery.
